Talk homework for Friday 22nd February

This week we will be writing a poem that can be put forward for this year’s St David’s Day Bard competition. We will be looking at the  poem ’Seven Lies’ which is about trees. We will take the structure and idea behind this poem to write seven lies about something Welsh! I would like you to think and talk about the possible lies you could tell about some of the following themes:

· The Welsh rugby team

· Cardiff City Football Club

· Leeks

· Daffodils

· Castell Coch

· The Welsh flag

Have lots of fun talking about the themes and inventing the lies!  I can’t wait to hear about them!

This week we will be writing a story linked to our topic on Robots and the visit to the Dr Who Experience. Dr Who has asked for your help as the world is in danger of being attacked. You build a robot.

You and your robot help Dr Who to save the world! I would like you to think and talk about the following:

· How does Dr Who contact you?

· What is the danger to the planet earth?

· How do you feel about the danger?

· What do you build the robot out of?

· What special powers does the robot have?

· What is the robot called?

· How do you save the world?

· How do you feel now?

Remember to think of as many WOW words as you can to help make your writing more exciting!
